It all started when…

TSOMA was established on October 17, 1954 as the Industrial Medical Association of Pittsburgh, the name was changed on October 30, 1960 to the Industrial Medical Association of the Pittsburgh-Cleveland Area.  The name changed again on September 20, 1974 to the Tri-State Occupational Medical Association, to reflect the inclusion of Eastern Ohio, West Virginia,  and Western Pennsylvania.

In 200X The Western Ohio Occupational Medical Association was merged into TSOMA.

Tri-State now includes Occupational Medicine professionals from across Ohio, West Virginia, and Western Pennsylvania.

TSOMA is a component society of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM).  ACOEM members are reminded that they can select TSOMA as their component society if they live in the TSOMA area or any adjacent state.
